I managed to recover my emails thanks to the Yahoo procedure. I accidentally deleted my emails (even though that wasn't the case!). Anyway, my emails came back like magic about a week after I made the request on Yahoo... -
Hello everyone, I don't know if any of you have tried this, but this morning I lost my "sent" emails as well as my drafts. I saw this forum and thought I would never find them again.... I disconnected and reconnected, and everything came back. It might be worth a try if some of you haven't done it already.

I just disabled the adblocker and webmail ad blocker, and the emails have reappeared.
When I reactivate them, the emails disappear.
Is this a measure of retaliation from Yahoo? -

All my archive folders are empty!!!!! There are a few email subjects left in the inbox, but their content is empty....
I have sent a request to restore the emails. I hope it will work. I will try to recover as much data as possible and I will switch to a more reliable email service... -

A Yahoo announcement says that my account, having been inactive for a year, has had all emails destroyed!
I find this particularly shocking, especially since my email was a rocketmail account that was acquired by Yahoo, with the old address preserved.
How can I request the reactivation of my emails? It has been impossible for over a year to change a forgotten password: their system systematically redirects to a verification service that loops back to the same service without allowing for password modification.

I too noticed the disappearance of my emails in the "sent" folder from 1918 to August 5, 2022, and following my attempts to recover them, I was surprised to see hundreds of emails from my trash appearing in my inbox; and I had to delete them one by one, as group deletion was not counted as such.
No contact possible with Yahoo. Should we change providers?

I've had the same thing happen to me! All the emails I've sent since 2014 have disappeared! I called the CNIL who referred me to Yahoo's DPO.
In response, a certain Patrick sent me a copied and pasted message that doesn't explain this bug at all.
Do you have a solution?

Still no solution and I don't understand why the CNIL isn't taking this more seriously. I regularly check my sent emails to make sure they don't disappear anymore.
If we file a complaint together, can we have a chance of success? I don't know. If anyone knows someone who works in the justice field to ask this question, that would be great because we are starting to be many who know the same problem. -

I'm in the same situation as you; it's the third time that emails disappear from the inbox and I find them in the trash.

For now, I have the history of my emails sent since January 3rd, so over a month, but for the rest over the past 20 years, it's still a great mystery.
