Hello,
I’m discovering Instagram and I hate Instagram because of its square format for photos, I’m even surprised by the app’s success because of this big issue. I want to post from my PC (which is possible) but it cuts my photos and my photos lose quality, it’s awful. I need to publish my photos in good quality and in full. Which PC app exists to keep my photos intact on Instagram? I know Lightroom well but it’s quickly paid and expensive! If there isn’t a PC app, which app is the best and simplest to keep my photos whole and in good quality from an iPhone? I don’t quite understand this Instagram app. I read that Instagram is going to disappear and be replaced, they should fix this square format problem so it isn’t replaced. It’s a big problem this square format anyway! It ruins all our beautiful photos not to mention the drop in photo quality!

Configuration: Windows / Chrome 96.0.4664.110

To help those who have the same question as me. I tried CANVA free desktop version and it works. It still leaves a wide white frame around it, but I suppose there’s nothing you can do about that; I guess it’s the Instagram format problem. At least, I finally have people whose shoes aren’t cropped; you can finally see people from head to toe. If I find something better later, I’ll come back to note it here.

    Hello

    It’s not a hassle but a choice.
There are lots of tutorials to manage your Instagram posts well. Reading them would be a good start.
    Example 1
    Example 2

Keep in mind that once you use a media tool, it’s up to you to adapt to the constraints; the opposite will not happen.

Regarding the question about PC, as we read, you need to resize and thus work on the format upstream, but there’s no magic tool either. Resizing and/or cropping to the right format can be done by almost any photo management program, no need for Lightroom or Photoshop for that.
Just pick a free online version, even the one built into Windows, Paint, does this with its Resize function (in FR version Redimensionner).

"Be aware that once you use a media tool, it’s up to you to adapt," there are still applications that are extremely well-designed; no need to adapt, they do the job very well! For me, Instagram needs improvement and I think it will be dethroned by something better designed and more convenient to use.

        This is an opinion, yours.
But that’s not the purpose of this forum, especially in this section..

My question was "Instagram, post full-size photos from my PC?" I have the right to find and say that Instagram is improvable.

That won’t change anything, but of course it’s your right.
