Hello, I have a real problem with my HP Omen 15-ax244nf laptop with GTX 1050 2mb and i5 7300 CPU.
I bought this laptop used and I wanted to reset the laptop; at that moment, everything was going perfectly fine.
I removed Windows and performed a factory reset by reinstalling the internal backup, and that's when the problems started:
Since then the GTX 1050 is no longer recognized by Windows and doesn't even appear in the Device Manager. At the same time, the GPU fans are always on. The only remaining display is the Intel 630 integrated graphics.
When I boot it up, a 90D error (thermal shutdown) appears, especially since the CPU temperature is always below 30°C.
I’ve tried a lot but can’t resolve the issue. In the meantime I did the following:
- Replaced both fans, updated to the latest BIOS, updated all components with the latest drivers, cleaned the board, browsed the BIOS to find a chipset option where I could potentially switch from one display to another, with no luck...
I hope you can give me a hand with this situation.
