But you're welcome, and regarding the box, try unplugging everything, wait five minutes, and then plug it back in.

It's as simple as that:
Your TV has a 3.5mm headphone jack output and your headphones have the same type of input
All you need to do is connect them with a simple jack<->jack cable:
The TV sound shouldn't be turned up too high => saturation at the input of the base of the headphones => sound distortion; you have to find a balance to be above the background noise but not saturate. The best is to set the headphones volume quite high, advantage: you adjust the volume with the TV remote... ;)

Thank you for the help, it was just a matter of turning down the volume. Really simple. Thanks again.
In Provence, we call a female cat a "pachole." Thanks again.

But you're welcome to come back and give news or if you have another question
Okay for the "pachole" here as well in the Toulouse region
And for the little story about my signature:
I call a cat a cat (French expression from Boileau) was quoted by Sigmund Freud in one of his works in German and in French in the text, referring to this:
"I cannot name anything except by its name. I call a cat a cat, and Rollet a rogue."
(this Rollet was a corrupt prosecutor)
Nicolas Boileau, First Satire, 1666
In the 18th century, the slang term "chat" (cat) referred to the female sex, more specifically the pubic hair, playing on the ambiguity of the term that designates the pet animal. It was the poet Nicolas Boileau who first used the expression in a satire denouncing the hypocrisy of society.
