Hello,
I just moved into a house in the Roseraie-Jolimont neighborhood, and the antenna hasn't been changed in a long time.
I saw that since 2016, there have been changes regarding reception.
Should I point my aerial towards Pech-David?
Could you give me the contact information of a good antenna technician?
Thank you in advance,
Sam

Hello,
You can also use this online tool: https://www.matnt.tdf.fr/
If you're having reception issues, call in an antenna technician.
And yes, it seems that, depending on where you live in Toulouse, you now need to point the antenna towards Pech-David, according to this page: http://www.telejeanrieux.fr/
I don't know how reliable this technician is though...
Best regards

Hello,
First of all, did you perform an automatic scan with your current antenna?

Good evening,
Just follow the same orientation as your neighbors' antennas...

Hello,
Aside from the orientation which may have changed due to the bad weather... the entire installation, if it's old, may have failures at any level... whether it's the cable, the connections, or the antenna itself...
You can already check the points that are accessible to you, especially the assembly of the antenna plugs, any potential connections, and the power supply for the amplifier if there is one...
As for recommending a local antenna technician, that would be a form of advertising and against the site's policy... You can ask around your neighborhood, that's often how you find local service providers, not to mention that if there have been (possibly) reception issues locally, your neighbors will be able to testify...

Yes, I only have the channels C8, CSTAR, CNEWS.
That's why I think my antenna isn't properly oriented.-

Jolimont in Toulouse gives me Pic du Midi (the only one providing the 6 multiplexes)
Roseraie gives me Pech David for R1-R4-R6-R7 and Lafilaire for R2-R3?!
the right setting must be between the two!

Depending on your location, the Jolimont hill may hinder a good reception of Pech David, check the orientation of the neighbors' antennas or aim for the Pic du Midi.

My antenna is not directed towards Pech-David, but towards the old transmitter.
Indeed, on the matnt site, they also recommend aiming towards the Pic du Midi. -
What is the average fee for a realignment done by an antenna technician?
-
Before you should try to change the orientation towards the Pic du Midi yourself, it's not that complicated if you have easy access to the antenna

I just called an antenna technician, and he told me that where we are located, it was impossible to pick up the channels by pointing the antenna at the Pic du Midi.

Curious because I don't know of any TNT dead zones in Toulouse
