Hello, let me explain my problem:
For a while now, when I try to update the drivers for my graphics card (Radeon 5700xt MSI Gaming X), the same issue keeps occurring: my display resolution is stuck at 640x480 (there's no way to change it from the Windows display settings), and when this happens, it only affects one of my two screens. The main screen is stuck at 640x480 (normally at 2k), while the second one works fine in full HD.
The part where I'm really stuck is that the main screen is connected via DisplayPort, while the second one is connected via HDMI, and when I connect the main one via HDMI, everything returns to normal with the correct resolution. However, I can't enjoy the 10-bit panel, HDR, or FreeSync over HDMI, and for a screen that cost 500 bucks, it’s pretty frustrating...
I have found a workaround for now by reverting to an older version of my drivers.
I hope you can help me resolve my issue; I would greatly appreciate it, thank you in advance.

Hello,
wait for the next update, and keep your driver version handy.
you can also send a message to Radeon support, you must not be the only one..
make sure to note the version numbers of each one..

I will patiently wait for the next versions of the driver, but this issue has already been occurring for 2 or 3 versions.
Thank you anyway for your response :)

A dialogue with Radeon would help to determine if all of this is normal or not...?? Or if specific conditions are needed...? Because your situation and what you want to do is quite unusual...
The manufacturer's "Datasheet" might provide some details on what is possible... or not possible.
