Hello,

Earlier I was looking at my phone and I turned it off to watch TV. At that moment it was charging. Then I tried to turn it on but here it is: it displays 79%. Nothing happens anymore, I can't turn it on or off, it stays stuck at 79%, even if the charger is unplugged. Also, it is hot. I tried the power button and the home button but nothing works. If I reconnect the charger to the phone nothing happens either:

Thank you for your help =)

    Hello,
The battery of your smartphone has died along with the charger. The latter powers the battery. In my opinion, both should be replaced.
Important point: Do not use the smartphone while it is charging, your battery heats up unnecessarily.

Thank you, but I performed an action that made it work again; however, it no longer has battery
Thanks anyway for replying to me =)
    See you later

Well, it actually happened a long time ago, but the day after the failure, it wouldn’t turn on anymore. I didn’t turn it off; I just put it into sleep mode (if you prefer, I didn’t hold down the power button), and I’m afraid to turn it on, I don’t know if I can turn it on or if it’s dangerous. In fact, when I turn it on, it shows the first startup screen (where the brand and model appear...) and then the second startup screen (where there’s just the brand) in a loop, and the red LED when it’s charging becomes green when it’s charged to 100%, it’s blue when I receive a notification, and it’s white, I don’t know what that means.

[Well, I know this is off-topic, but I have 2 SAMSUNG Galaxy S6 edge: one black and one white; I lost the black one, it works fine, and the white one, as I told you, is dead. The white one is newer than the black one.] Knowing that I don't want to reset it (the white one) and that I can't access the battery which might be dead (still the white one), that I have several chargers and I'm afraid to turn it on (the white one forever), does it pose any risk to charge it and then turn it on? Thank you for your replies =)

Without forgetting that I got the black SAMSUNG Galaxy S6 edge for free and I got the white one new and paid.

Well, I tried to turn it on, it rebooted in a loop at least 15 times and it turns on. Except that it turns off shortly after turning on (~10s). Then it reboots in a loop and turns on until the battery runs out...

    Hello,
You mentioned for the white Galaxy S6... "I tried to turn it on, it rebooted in a loop at least 15 times and it lights up. Except that it turns off shortly after turning on (~10s). Then it reboots in a loop and lights up until the battery runs out..."
Is it still under warranty (less than 2 years)?

Yes, he's about 11 months old, he doesn't restart in a loop but it freezes, and yesterday there were stripes on the screen (that scares me :O)

Since he is under 24 months (2 years old), activate the warranty.

I think it's the battery as you mentioned at the beginning of the message, but it's not removable, you have to use a hairdryer to detach the back glass but I don't want to damage it :(

And also one time I got an electric shock from a SAMSUNG power adapter and today I'm thinking that maybe it belonged to this SAMSUNG Galaxy S6 edge (white), so there might be a connection, maybe I had the phone with two defective chargers (I doubt it), yet before that, I hadn't gotten an electric shock from this power adapter, mystery...
I'm planning to return it soon, you don't need to remind me =)
PS: I think I found my other SAMSUNG Galaxy S6 edge (black) =)

So it's either the motherboard or the battery that's out of order
I'm planning to send it back soon, you don't need to tell me again =)
