Good evening, I currently have an Acer Aspire X3-710 which is getting old. I would like to upgrade it, but I'm not knowledgeable about it. It has
a i5 6400 processor 2.7Ghz
an Acer Aspire X3-710 V1.1 motherboard
4GB of DDR3 RAM
and an Intel HD Graphics 530
Could you advise me on the compatible components for my PC, knowing that it is a compact PC, so I need a low-profile graphics card
Thank you for your future responses
Best regards

Hello,
We should start by looking at what the manual available on the manufacturer's website says about upgrade possibilities, but let me be clear, upgrades are generally meant for custom PCs. Pre-built PCs have little information and sometimes use proprietary formats for cards, cases, and power supplies that can't be replaced with just anything. Unfortunately, the best option is to start over with a clean slate. Additionally, this Intel Skylake platform with DDR3 is not great at all; the best choice is to change it completely once again. -
Your PC is too limited in RAM. You would need at least 8GB (2x4GB). The low profile format makes things more complicated, but you can still find a more powerful LP GPU than the IGP of your CPU. However, it still depends on whether your PC's power supply has enough power to support it. Ultimately, it all comes down to the budget you want to allocate.
