Hello,
I’m at a loss because I think I’ve been tricked like a beginner; currently looking for a rental for my university-age son, I answered an ad on Le Bon Coin for an apartment that matched all our criteria. I wrote as requested to the email address provided; the person responded precisely and I sent as requested copies of our IDs as well as copies of my husband’s tax notice and pay slips. Since then I haven’t heard back (since the 25th). I followed up this afternoon but while searching the web in parallel, I found a discussion dating from 2011 with the same email address! I’m extremely angry with them and with myself! While continuing to search, I see there are scams on consumer loans too; we will call the bank tomorrow as well as the fraud info number, but will we be able to limit the damage? Any testimony is welcome!

Good evening,
Not to alarm you; the person has a lot of information about you.
There could be creation of fake documents; identity theft.
I think filing a complaint is necessary to protect you a little.
But problems may arise afterwards if the person is truly ill-intentioned.
Patience and good luck with what comes next. -

Hello
Classique..
The documents provided will be used in the context of identity theft.. It is highly advised to have (Police..) a Police Incident Report established describing the facts.. Keep a copy or reference number of this P.I.R in case (Criminal acts to be committed in your name in the future..)
