Fan Replacement on HP Pavilion

Solved

Hello,

The system] alerts me at startup about an abnormal operation of the CPU fan
(PC: HP Pavilion - Desktop PC 570-p001nf)
I’m willing to replace it, but ... I can't find a “compatible” replacement for this fan with my PC.
My questions:
1) where can I find this fan?
2) is it possible to replace it with a fan suitable for the motherboard and what are the risks regarding the PC?
Thank you in advance.

Thank you for this response.
I will look into the repair side.
As for the brand and model of the old one, I have already searched, but I'm not sure about its compatibility with HP regarding its connection (HP motherboard) and its recognition by the system for speed management (HP is rather opaque on this point).

Hello
HP makes computers that are very poorly compatible.
You need to register your product on the HP website and you will have access to information, advice, references, HP support, and lists of places to obtain parts.

Hello and thank you for this lead.
I had already explored it:
on "HP Parts Store" (https://parts.hp.com/Hpparts/CountryChoice.aspx, for my system (HP product number), no "cpu fan" (only "system fan").

These fans are stepper motors and their rotation speed is the frequency provided by the motherboard; there’s nothing mysterious about it, and the intelligence is in the motherboard, not in the fan motor.
We can't advise you accurately; we know nothing about your motor..??
A photo, dimensions, what is written on it... a minimum is still required.

Hello,
1) From your comment, I assume that a fan will be suitable if the power in W, speed, mounting, overall dimensions and ... connection specifications ... are correct?
2) The fan has the reference "PBT-GF30-FR". I have this photo:

I back up in case, and I try to "repair" (at a minimum, "re"-clean, but also lubrication which I hadn't done) and I will take more photos while I'm at it.

In any case, thank you.

Yes, you understood the principle...

Here is a link on eBay for this type of fan... You still need to check the dimensions and whether it has three or four wires... let's say that with a supplier in France, the shipping is cheaper, faster, and you can ask them questions over the phone...

There should be other references on the motor, I think in the center; what you provided is the reference for the plastic material for this motor.

Hello,
This information and advice finally allowed me, quite simply, to disassemble the "motor" and see its reference. Everything seems to be getting simpler.
I am leaning, rightly or wrongly, towards the normally risk-free solution of a like-for-like replacement: same brand (Cooler Master) and same reference (FA08025M12LPA).
Thanks to everyone and especially to Jeannets.
