Unable to delete my contacts

Hello,
I have a REDMI 9 for a while now. I wanted to use Google to transfer my contacts from my old phone, a Huawei, to the REDMI 9
but it created three copies of each contact. I cannot delete a contact from my SIM card.
What should I do?

    Ok. Read this. It's not easy to delete SIM contacts with Xiaomi. Follow this procedure with contact2sim

      I looked at the link and my sim toolbox icon says it's not ready or not supported...
