Broken screen to switch to an external monitor

Hello
I have a laptop with a broken screen, but I have an external monitor, and when I connect my external monitor to the laptop, nothing happens. The cable is good, tested with another PC, and my HDMI port on the laptop is also working. I'm stuck.
Thank you for your help.

Hello, hold down the Windows key and press the P key one or more times.
Test it also on the TV after selecting the correct source on the TV with the remote control.

    Hi,

You can also type in Google: Brand and model of your laptop user manual en or keyboard key to activate a secondary screen

Normally, it's a function key with a symbol representing 2 screens.

However, it’s not normal that it’s not working. The pre-boot test checks the hardware. It sees that the main screen isn’t working, it should look for the secondary screen and find it. Did you plug in and power on the secondary screen while the PC was off?

Thank you, I started the reset and reinstallation of Windows 10 and now an installation image is displayed. Maybe the problem is solved; I'll see when it's finished. Otherwise, yes, I had already tried turning on the second screen when the PC was off.

    Good evening,
Try the key combination Win + P then down arrow then enter
this allows you to change the output of the video signal to your external monitor.
If that doesn't work, I don't see any other solutions especially since we can't see on the screen if the cable is properly recognized...

A small part of my screen on the right still works, but it doesn't change anything whether it's in extend mode, duplicate mode, or just the second screen.

I really feel like the problem comes from Windows because I have access to the BIOS clearly displayed, etc. on my secondary screen when my broken screen is unplugged, but when Windows 10 starts, it absolutely wants to send the image through my broken screen even though it is not connected...

Thank you, but I already tried. I will try to reset it; maybe that will solve my problems.

I understand the problem better and what I did was completely disconnect my laptop screen which is broken and connect the HDMI, and magic happens, my PC starts with the secondary screen, but only for a few seconds (I have the impression that it stops working when Windows starts) so still stuck.

when you have the image on the screen, press the windows and p keys, and in the black window, confirm that you want to stay on this screen.

I couldn't manage to get any window to display when I pressed win+p, but I managed to access the BIOS now. However, when I finish configuring the BIOS and the PC launches Windows 10, no image appears; in fact, the image returns to the port of my screen even though it’s not plugged in.
So, if there's something I can do with the BIOS, let me know and I will try.

In the BIOS, I can't see much about changing the screens, it's Windows and P.
Try Windows and P on another computer, so you can see what it does.

On the small part of my screen that is broken but still works on the right, I see it offers me to duplicate or extend, but nothing happens when I change this setting.

Also, a small part of my broken screen still works if it can be of use.
