Hello,
I can't restart my Brother J4620 printer.
I've tried the trick of plugging it in while holding the on/off button.
It wakes up, but the message says "functions disabled".
And it turns off.
Do you have any advice?
Thank you.
Best regards,
Christine

Hello,
Which Windows OS is your printer connected to on your PC?
How: USB cable or Wi-Fi?
Have you installed the drivers for your printer... https://www.brother.fr/services-et-supports/mfc-j4620dw/downloads

My printer is connected to my PC, Windows 7
USB cable
I haven't reinstalled any drivers
Thank you for your response, sorry I haven't been to the office since Friday.
Your PC is connected to your office network. So, I suppose it's not your personal PC?
I will download the drivers; that might help refresh the data
And have a better connection..???
I was asking if your PC is personal, meaning it belongs to you.
With the pandemic, companies and administrations are lending laptops to their staff for remote work.
If it is indeed a non-personal PC, you need to contact your network manager who also manages the IT equipment (the process works the same way in administrations).
It’s my personal PC that I was using for work, hence the high-performance printer.
And now I’m using it a lot for an association and I'm really in a bind.
Because as you know, it always breaks down when you need it the most...
