Hello
Following a bit of tinkering, I now have 4 identical address books when I open "address book".
How can I delete 3 of them?
I go to Tools, address book, all address books.
The right-click on the address book is not working.
Thanks for the help for a novice.

@gege491,
What you are showing is the email composition page with the contacts panel displayed, which you can hide by pressing F9.
What happens when you right-click on one of the address books named "contacts" not in this panel, but on the contacts management page that you access by clicking the Addresses button in the mail toolbar?
If you uninstall Thunderbird and then reinstall it, you will find exactly the same thing because the address books are contained in your profile, and your profile is not deleted by the uninstallation.
If you delete your profile manually, you will also delete all your emails!
Moreover, this instinctive habit of uninstalling/reinstalling is rarely the solution to a problem because you only end up with the same product with the same settings after reinstallation.

Hello @gege491
I don't know what you did, but at my place, we can select a notebook by right-clicking and the "Delete" function is available:
