Hello and thank you in advance for your help,
I am moving into a (new) house with RJ45 sockets in every room. I want to connect my fiber box to all these sockets. The previous occupant did not place the fiber box near the electrical meter but in the living room.
So, I bought a switch in order to bring the connection from the living room to the meter, and I will place my switch near the meter to connect all the sockets.
My concern is that I notice I don't see any RJ45 cables at the meter (see photos). What do you think? Can my idea still work?
Thank you for your help

OK, I must say that the photos are neither clear nor bright, only your indication of "Cut wires" guided me, and I can see the cut wires at 3-6 and 5-4; certainly, this was a quicker method for dismantling... if you want to keep this installation, you will need to find terminals that allow tapping... but first, we need to be sure that this is indeed an internet cable and not a fixed multi-line telephone to every room; because that also existed, depending on the date of installation, that would be a good clue...
We should open one of the wall sockets that arrive in room 1 for example, and see how it is connected inside..?? and how many wires there are..??
In any case, with an installation like this, the quality and speed of the internet will inevitably be diminished and irregular, and it will be subject to interference and will not support current speeds without suffering or producing defects that are difficult to explain..
I encourage you to trace the path of the conduits with a view to running new rigid 8-conductor cables from the wall socket to your electrical box...

At the electrical box, there needs to be a patch panel that receives all the cables coming from the rooms in the house on one side and all the flexible RJ45 connections going to your Switch on the other side.

Here is some reading on the subject https://reseau-vdi.fr/cablage-rj45/
There you go, there's already plenty to ponder...
