Hello,

I ordered it on Cdiscount and received it well, but I don't know how to install it (actually, I want to get rid of the Ethernet cable to connect my PC to the Internet). After browsing through various articles on the subject, I still don't see the solution, so if someone could give me the trick, that would be nice.

Hello,

There is no brand, just Wifi N, and my PC recognizes it as 802.11n; however, it tells me that the driver is unavailable and troubleshooting is needed, so I'm lost.

  If it's an unbranded key, it must be a cheap key of Chinese origin, it's best to avoid this kind of key as it causes a lot of problems. Give me the identification number of your key by checking THIS PAGE, also give me your version of Windows and don't forget if it's 32 or 64 bits.

    Your key is equipped with a Realtek chip, the RTL8188FTV. The only available driver is for Windows 10. However, try to install it anyway by downloading the driver by clicking this link.
    Extract the file you just downloaded into a folder. To install it, go to Device Manager, right-click on your 802.11n key, choose Update Driver, then Search for a driver on my computer, and select the folder where you extracted the previously downloaded driver. Then click next. The driver will either install or not.

    It doesn't work, indeed, as it's for Windows 10. Next to that, I used Driver Updater and apparently it found the right driver, and at the same time, it's updating other components of my PC (which isn't very young). When it's done, I'll restart and let you know if everything works.

    Be careful with driver updater; it's better not to use this kind of commercial software, which can sometimes be quite dishonest. To update your drivers, use DriversCloud https://www.malekal.com/driverscloud-mettre-a-jour-ses-pilotes/
