"USB accessory is too power-hungry" even when nothing is plugged in

Hello,

I have a message that says "USB accessories disabled. Unplug the power-hungry accessory to re-enable USB devices."

However, I don't have any devices connected, and the message keeps coming back continuously.

I tried connecting my external hard drive, but it seems that my Mac does not detect it, and the same goes for my Android phone.

Thanks in advance for your help,
Do

Hello Ritchi,

Thank you very much for your link and your response.

During my research, I came across this page and nothing corresponds to my problem.

In fact, I get this message even though I have no USB ports in use; I even tried with and without the power supply.

I've been having this issue since I bought it second-hand from an individual.

Hello. Have you found a solution because I’ve been having the same problem as you for some time? Thank you.
