I can't figure out how to put accents on letters in Adobe InDesign 2021. Can you help me?

    You need to choose a font that has accents.
    Type the text in lowercase.
    Then, in the top control bar, in paragraph mode, change the selected text to uppercase by clicking the appropriate button (TT).

    The pink square is the kind of info that Indesign returns when the font does not have the accented character.
    Try replacing the font with another one to check...
