Hello everyone, I'm posting my little issue here:
I recently bought a DisplayPort cable to connect my monitor to my PC while also connecting my TV as a second screen via HDMI (for practical reasons, since my graphics card has only one HDMI port)
The problem is as follows: every time I turn on my PC, my monitor connected via DisplayPort doesn't detect a signal, while the TV connected via HDMI does. (Basically, it's as if only the TV is detected). To get the monitor to pick up a signal, I have to unplug and replug the DisplayPort cable.
Before this, I was only using the monitor with HDMI, and I never had this issue.
I thought the problem might be that the TV was recognized as the primary display, which I checked and it's not the case.
If someone could shed some light on this, for your information, my monitor is a BenQ XL2720Z and my graphics card is a GeForce RTX 2060.

Hello, is there a graphics chipset on your processor?
Because if there isn't, it's normal that it doesn't work when you plug it into your case.

So, to my knowledge, no I don't have one, but the monitor has always started up correctly in HDMI and if I unplug/replug the DisplayPort it works normally too..
I'm experiencing the exact same problem right now, using a dual screen setup via Surface Dock 2. I power on my PC, one of the two screens is active and the other is in a strange state: Windows recognizes it, I can choose its resolution etc., but it doesn't detect any signal and automatically goes to sleep unless I unplug/replug the HDMI!
I'm open to any solutions if found!
