Hello,
I would like to replace the hard drive in my PC with a larger SSD.
If I use free software like "Easeus To Do Backup," will I be able to simply put it in place of the existing hard drive?
Or do I need to "clone with a bootable system," since standard cloning does not allow for a simple disk swap?
Thank you for your help.
André

Hello,
You can create your disk image and then restore it to the new SSD, which is connected via an external enclosure!

"Or should we use 'clone with bootable system' for this, as standard cloning does not allow for a simple disk exchange?" .
I do not understand the meaning of your question. Cloning simply consists of copying the elements of a disk or a partition, most often the C partition, onto another medium, most often an SSD. Which SSD have you chosen? Some brands have their own cloning utility. For example, Samsung has Data Migration, which is easy to use.
