Audacity and the new MacBook headset

Good evening,

In Audacity's preferences, you indeed won't find the option "headphones"; however, in the System Preferences / Sound, provided that headphones are connected to the Mac, you will have that option, and Audacity will produce sound through the connected headphones. Thus, it is in the System Preferences that you need to select the output to the headphones (or headset).

I plug in External Headphones but an error message appears.

The headphones work perfectly fine when I go on YouTube.

Did you set "external speakers" as the output in Audacity?

Why aren't you doing what I mentioned in this discussion, in message no. 7?

Audacity = Built-in output
