Hello,
I installed PowerShell. Now my explorer closes when I right-click on certain files. Ccleaner could fix this in Tools > Startup > Context Menu. I have two lines "Open PowerShell window here," but if I click Disable or Delete on them, I get an error message "Failed to enable/disable startup item: Access denied."
And it's the same if I run Ccleaner as an administrator.
Any idea on how to properly remove it?
Thank you.

Configuration: Windows / Firefox 84.0

    Hello,

1- PowerShell is already installed by default on W10
Type PowerShell in the search area on the taskbar.

    Once launched:

The ideal would be to uninstall the version you installed.

    2- Questions
Do you know the installed version?
Just launch PowerShel, sometimes a number appears

Where did you download PowerShell from?
In principle, it should be from the Microsoft site which offers either an MSI or ZIP download.
And during installation, there is a box to uncheck so it won't appear in the context menu.

3- Uninstallation of PowerShell (it's not easy).

Check if you see PowerShell in:
    Settings►Apps►Apps & features
If present in the list, uninstall PowerShell

Check if you see PowerShell in:
    Settings►Apps►Apps & features
Optional features -► View optional features history

Check if you see PowerShell in:
Control Panel (view small icons in the top right)►Programs and Features► Turn Windows features on or off.
    Windows Powershell.
Do not uncheck the box for Windows Powershell 2.0 (It's the default Powershell for W10).
Check if you see another version or post a screenshot if you don't know.

Check if you see PowerShell in:
    Go to This PC►Local Disk (C) ►Windows►System32
Check if you have multiple instances of PowerShell (Application)

There is the application ==► PowerShell in the Microsoft Store.
    If installed:
    Start Button► Recently added ►PowerShell
    Right click ►Uninstall

    With Revo Uninstaller
Again, check if you see PowerShell

4- To remove the context menu “Open PowerShell window here

    Download ==► Remove_Open_PowerShell_window_here_context_menu

    Run the reg file
    Yes ► Yes ►OK
Or right-click on the reg file then -►Merge

    Restart the PC.

5- If you can't do it, try a system restore.
==► Restore Windows with restore points

    So in order:
    2
I don't know my version. How can I find out?
I think I downloaded it from the MS site and I didn't uncheck the box.
    3
I've already partially uninstalled it so I can't see it anywhere except in the context menu. Revo doesn't see it.
    4
Modifying the registry didn't change anything.
    5
The restore starts off well, restarts but eventually tells me that it didn't work.

Is there anything else I can do?

      Save WinUtilities
Registry tools ==► Context menu management
Check if you see the entry.
Uncheck the box, it will remove the entry from the right-click.

      See you later.
