Recording your voice over an instrumental in FL Studio

Good evening,
I'm starting out on FL Studio, with the ambition of recording and mixing my voice over existing rap instrumentals. I've managed to set up the software to record myself on one track in the timeline, and of course, on another track, I have my instrumental, which I need to hear to rap while recording.
The problem is that the recorded audio captures not only my voice (which is normal and the primary goal) but also the instrumental and everything else on the timeline: in other words, my vocal recording includes the instrumental in duplicate, which is very troublesome for mixing and, in any case, very rough and unprofessional.
Do you know how I can listen to what's on my timeline during a recording without also recording anything other than my voice, and therefore without recording the tracks I'm listening to while I record?

Do you rap into a mic with headphones on to listen to the beat or does the beat come out of your speakers? -
I rap with headphones. In fact, my problem was just that I was recording on my master, and of course, it was also re-recording the other tracks.
