Instagram promotion payment issue. Closed

I can't validate my payment methods to run an Instagram promo.
I am offering decorative items, and when I try to validate my credit card or PayPal, the same message keeps coming up = Payment method expiration, we could not process your payment methods.
On the bank side, everything is fine.
I have tried at least 10 times...
Please, a little help ???? ????

I think I've figured out how to do it.
For my part, I contacted Instagram and everything worked!!!! After weeks, I was finally able to create an ad.
Here are the steps:
Go to Instagram
Take a screenshot of your problem.
Keep in mind (or write it down on the side) the number of your account which can be found in:
Settings
Payments
Promotion Payment (it will say YOUR ACCOUNT with a fairly long number, make sure to note it)
Then at the bottom of this page
Access the help pages
Go to "about billing for Instagram ads"
Click on the blue "contact our payment support team"
Click on I have another question
Enter the reference number
And add the photo you captured
Write "Hello, my account is marked as disabled because I couldn't validate my payment method. Can you reactivate it?"
Send
And a few days later you will receive a message in English that will usually say "we have reactivated your account blablabla"

I have the same problem and it's frustrating.
Possible explanation: Facebook and Instagram are now part of the same group, and they created an app called Business Suite to manage posts and promotions. The only downside is that we can't promote Instagram videos via this app, and that's bothersome.
I think we can no longer promote directly on Instagram but only through BS.
Did you know about the existence of this app?

I tried everything and nothing worked...
I tried through PayPal and that didn't work either, what I did was try and try again and after a while it finally worked with PayPal! However, two or three days later, I noticed that my professional page was no longer visible to everyone... I had to switch to a personal page otherwise no one could see my page...

Hello everyone!

I've been having exactly the same problem for a month now, I've tried 3 different cards, and I just can't make it work!

The Instagram payment service tells me it's coming from my bank, but that's not the case! Especially since the 3 cards are from 3 different banks, so it seems hard to believe!

I still don't have a solution, except to go through FB, but that's radically worse.

At least I feel less alone!

I hope we find a solution quickly.

We have exactly the same issue with our business account.

Unable to validate the payment, and there are no banking issues on our side. It's quite crazy that there has been this kind of problem for over a month... I left a review on the Apple Store highlighting the issue, let's see if it's noticed...! But it's very frustrating!!! Stay tuned.

A little tip to boost an Instagram post via Facebook: you need to create a Facebook page and link the Instagram account to the Facebook page.

From there, you'll be able to click on "Boost an Instagram post" from your Facebook page.

But it’s important to correctly link the Instagram account in question to the Facebook page you created.

It worked for me; it allowed me to gain better visibility on my post. Even if it’s not as effective as doing it directly from Instagram, it’s a step in the right direction while waiting for a resolution.

I had the same issue for weeks after creating my professional account, and the problem was that my Instagram account was not linked to a Facebook account or page. Once I linked my Instagram account to my Facebook account, I was able to make the payment and set up a promotion!

The problem when you go through Facebook is that it’s not as effective as on Instagram. I've had the same issue for a month now.

I found a solution: you go to your Facebook account and create a "Page." You can put any title (no need for a description, photo, or anything, it doesn't matter).
You link this FB page to your Instagram account.

Then you go to your business manager: http://business.facebook.com/
And in there, you enter your payment method.

Next, when you're on Instagram, go to the post you want to promote and click on "promote." You set all the criteria you want, and at the time of payment, you go to the options and check "Facebook business manager," and it should work!
(And it will have the effectiveness of an Instagram ad in itself! Not Instagram via Facebook because that works much less well, in fact ;) )

I just resolved my issue by contacting all the support services on Instagram and Facebook, and it turns out my ad account was blocked, and they unblocked it for me... so you really need to keep pestering them!!

I have the same problem. So, while digging a bit, I may have a solution because I have a Facebook page linked to Instagram. On the Facebook page, click on Promote and there you have several options including "Boost an Instagram post". Follow the instructions and it should work.

I have the same problem as you; as soon as I click on "promote," I get an error message saying "payment deadline. Your promotions are disabled because we could not process your payment methods. Please pay the amount due to continue promoting."

I continue on "pay," and it redirects me to a page where I can enter my bank details or my PayPal, which I do, but the link redirects me to a dead page: "
The page you requested cannot be displayed at this time. It may be temporarily unavailable, the link you clicked may be broken or expired, or you may not have permission to view this page."

It's pulling my hair out; I've been trying for two days! Thank you if anyone has any answers!

Hello, I had the same problem! I couldn't validate my payment methods with credit card or Paypal. Error page every time.
I sent a message to Instagram, they replied a few days later and no more problems!

Same problem... Very strange because I manage several accounts on which I run ads and the problem is occurring on two out of four accounts. I exchanged several emails with the "Instagram Payment Teams," who only provided scripted responses. It concluded with a message that basically says, "We are sorry, we can't do anything for you." It's astounding. We are ready to spend money with them and they completely disregard it. In the meantime, I'm boosting Instagram posts from the Business Suite, but there are many fewer features.

I had the same issue and I finally managed to fix it by removing the credit card I had stored on Insta, I unlinked the Facebook page I had connected to the Insta account, I uninstalled the Insta app and then reinstalled it. Then I went to the settings of the Facebook ad account through the Business Suite options, then to payment settings, and I added my new PayPal account. I linked my FB account to Insta and after more than an hour of waiting, it finally worked, and now I can use "business management" or something like that as a payment method and I pay with PayPal.

Hello everyone, I had the same issue that I managed to solve this weekend. I went directly to "verify" my credit card from Facebook Ads on my computer. I also dissociated my Facebook account from my Instagram account and then re-associated them before the process.
