Hello,
One of the cartridges in my SX218 printer is not recognized as being placed.
During the inspection of the contact pins in the machine, there are 9: 5 at the bottom and 4 higher up.
I noticed that one pin has collapsed and has retracted inside, so it is probably no longer making contact with the chip on the ink cartridge.
This results in its presence not being recognized.
I managed to disassemble the machine, but not the rest, namely
how to remove and replace the pin holder in order to change or repair it.
I searched the internet for a video that would help me with this, but I couldn't find one.
Thank you to anyone who can help me with this.
Happy holidays despite these very difficult circumstances.

Hello,
In my opinion, you can make a spring hook like this, out of a fairly rigid wire.. https://www.jdm-motos.fr/outils-transport/257413-crochet-%C3%A0-ressort-husqvarna.html
After removing the cartridges.
And using this hook, pull towards you the contact tab of the cartridge receptacle on your SX218... by applying moderate force without violence...
The goal is to align the contacts with the others... You can also clean the contacts of the chip on the cartridges...
This intervention should be doable without disassembling anything... But with good lighting.

Cool, and thanks for your response and your quickness.
Okay, I'm going to do that
and provide the answer on the subject.
Have a good evening.

Hey yes, thanks for the feedback...
As for the rest, I still believe, but I'm afraid we might have to wait a bit... unfortunately.
Happy New Year 2021
