Hello,
Can someone tell me how to adjust the size of photos on a Samsung Galaxy A20e? In the camera settings, there's nothing! And a single photo can take up 8MB.
Thank you very much
Alain
Configuration: Windows / Firefox 84.0

Hello,
in searching I found a solution that can resolve the photo size issue:
1°) In camera settings: enable the "HEIC Photos" option
2°) In gallery settings: enable the "convert HEIC images when sharing" option.
With these settings, the photo taken is saved in HEIC format and takes 1 MB. In the gallery view, I shared it to my email, and it was converted to JPEG, making it 2.1 MB.
It’s already better.
Have a good day

In HEIC, the size is halved (approximately).
Otherwise, the camera uses the maximum resolution that can be expected with its sensor, resulting in photos of a little over 4 MB on my tablet.
On my smartphone (not very recent), the size is equivalent.
So evidently Samsung has chosen to take photos only at the maximum resolution, which results in prettier pictures but takes up more space.
I therefore advise you:
- either to save the photos on an SD card (to be set in the camera settings).
- or to reduce the resolution by processing on a computer. Use Paint or XnView MP software: resize function (for both software).
