Hello,

And thank you for your attention.
My daughter got a Vankyo tablet. We lost the password to unlock it. It's impossible to reset; it's not working. How can I reset it? Thank you in advance

    If you want to reset it, you should consult the manual for this device.
    If the process you followed does not yield the desired result, you need to explain in detail what you did and WHAT is not happening as expected. Technically, we may be able to help you with the Reset knowing that each tablet can have its own mode.

    You can also contact the seller or simply consult Google or videos explaining the Reset (with data loss, of course).
    These tablets under certain brands may not always be simple for the reset, but in this case, you will need to check with the seller.

      This is not the request.

      Resetting a tablet or a box is a normal process; you just need to read the manual of the device.
      Anyone can reset their box, tablet, or anything else as long as they have it in front of them.
      This is common information and has nothing to do directly with the password or hacking.

      A reset is a common operation, referenced in a user manual intended for everyone and included in a NORMAL management process on a physical device, period.

      It is neither hacking nor an operation aimed at bypassing a protection system; it is maintenance.
      In short, it is perfectly "legal".
      The purpose is to protect data or perform a reset, not theft.

    Nothing works. Neither flight + power.
    Nor flight - power. Nor paperclip in the reset hole... No manual... And I'm terrible at all this... Thank you for your help.

      If there is a small hole with a reset indication or it is mentioned in the manual, you usually need to press it gently for about 5 seconds.
      If that doesn't work, unfortunately, there is nothing technical to be done anyway; it's not the first time a "Chinese" tablet doesn't do what it should. Unfortunately, there is not much to be done unless this brand has a coherent website, which is rare. In that case, contact them in English (and sometimes they don't even understand English).

      That's just how these tablets are.

      Hello, did you find a solution for the tablet? My daughter set a lock code that only I know, and if we try to unlock it, it goes black and suddenly, in just 2 seconds, it locks again. If you managed to fix it, please let me know how. I bought it for her on Amazon for Christmas, and I'm sad for her.

        Hello,
        We encountered the same problem yesterday (unlocking, black screen, and 2 seconds later back to the locked page) and managed to get a reset page after unlocking the tablet a dozen times in a row. 5 lines appear at the top of the screen with 2 possible choices; you need to select the 2nd one with the volume down button and confirm with the power button. It will ask for the lock code again and reset the tablet with the last backup made. My daughter was able to recover all her apps.
