Hello,

I would like step-by-step guidance to recreate a physical reader sharing setup on a PC. The current configuration was unstable and no longer works. The two PCs are connected to the network via WIFI. The router is available for file sharing. Thank you in advance for your valuable help.

Configuration: Windows / Chrome 87.0.4280.66

Hello. Why should an external router, your box should know how to do it?
Then, read the following tutorial: https://forums.commentcamarche.net/forum/affich-35446534-partage-entre-2-pc-windows-10#answers

I have just made these adjustments. How to enable sharing now? The two PCs are connected to a BBOX?

Thank you, I’ve already configured one of the two PCs.
Should the PCs be connected to each other with an RJ45 cable or should they be connected to the BBOX?

The two PCs must be on the same local network, either by RJ45 with the box or by Wi-Fi.

      RJ45 cable between them?
      RJ45 cables on the BBOX?
      The simplest?

If the two PCs are connected to each other, the RJ45 cable must be a crossover type (not very common).
The simplest is to connect the two PCs to the box with straight-type RJ45 cables (the most common).

        hi,
no, that was before, now gigabit network cards cross each other all by themselves (auto mdi).

Hello, I opted for the 2 PCs plugged into the BBOX.
I have a message that appears but I can't show you the screenshot I took... I can see the computer on the other side in the explorer. But Windows security asks for network authentication that I don't know...

      Again:
to access a network share, you must create the same user account on both PCs with the same name and password and assign NTFS permissions (Security tab of the folder, not the share) to that user account.
So it’s your own account, but of course you need to have one, and with a non-empty password.

You need to connect to the remote PC using the login/password of the remote PC.
