Hello,
For some time now, following either the change from the "Livebox 2 Zen" to the "Livebox 4 DSL", or important updates for W10 recently, I'm not sure how to interpret it, but when I want to shut down or just restart my PC (HP Pavilion from 2013) a message appears on the screen: "Another person is using this PC. If you shut down this PC now, that person might lose unsaved data". And I can certify here that no one but me touches this PC, so I am wondering about the ghostly presence of another person (?...)
Could you please let me know more about this ghost that seems to have taken over my machine?
Configuration: Windows / Chrome 86.0.4240.198

To test:
==> Open Windows 10 settings then Accounts
==> On the left click on Sign-in options
==> At the bottom disable the option "Use my sign-in info to automatically finish setting up my device and reopen my apps after an update or restart".

Hello
simplely start your PC without being connected to the internet
turn it off and see if you still have the message

Thank you jfmimi, but of course that before calling on you for help I did this manipulation. And yes, this message still appears... any other ideas?
Hello.
Check in the task manager if you have an application currently open. If so, click on "End Task" for that application, then close the manager and shut down your PC. But this is just a suggestion, so we'll see what happens next.
See you later

To you too Jojolaguitare, thank you, but there too the action was taken before the last resort with you... I am dry too...
For me, it's activated and has never caused this problem. However, further up (in the box), it’s disabled. It’s possible that if it's activated... not sure, but worth checking.
@ the worried one >>> If the problem is relatively recent, a system restore to a date before this issue? It's worth a try.
See you...
But as you must have read, I got out of that mess by following the guidelines he was giving me, and it works. So Eureka!
Thank you to all of you who help poor fools like me ;=))
