Ok, but when I want to create a message, I don't have the menu bar or "view".
It's the same! Click on Alt to see view etc... but in the message preparation window that you get by clicking "Write" and not elsewhere.
I started over, I got the bar back but "send" is grayed out.
Send is grayed out because at that moment there is nothing to send!
As soon as you enter a recipient in the mail you are preparing, it will no longer be grayed out.
