Unable to open Money

For a week now, I haven't been able to use Money; it opens for a split second and then nothing. I uninstalled and reinstalled Money: same result!
My backup works on another computer.
I'm at my wit's end!

      I followed these instructions and after reinstalling, the same problem.
      Note that the backup works (thankfully) on PC 2.

    Which version of Money?

      Windows 7, the one with which I can no longer open Money after years of no problems, and Vista for the second one.
