screenshot shortcut is not working anymore Solved

Hello to the community  Following a recent update, my screenshot shortcut is no longer working  I'm talking about the shortcut of the two keys Windows + Print Screen which used to directly place the screenshot in the "Screenshots" folder I’ve looked at other topics, I’ve tried other shortcuts, none of them work This trick is only useful for games (I'm cheating a little ;=)) ) when I'm short on time, I take a screenshot, pause the game and it allows me to find objects without stress  If you have an idea on how to get the shortcut to work again  Thanks    Configuration: Windows / Firefox 82.0  -- Do not confuse "taking some of your free time to help your friends" and "freeing up time to help them"

Hello,  1- Once in your game, try pressing the F12 key  Then go to your explorer. In Images And in the Screenshots folder. Create the screenshots folder if you don’t see it.  With Angry Birds it worked.   2- Go to Settings ►Ease of Access In the left menu, click on --► Keyboard Section -► Print Screen shortcut Highlight the checkbox ►Use the Print Screen button to open the Snipping Tool. Restart your PC  Launch your game Press the keyboard key only once -► Print Screen Or -► Windows + Print Screen Then press ESC to return to the game. Then go to your explorer. In Images And in the Screenshots folder.  A+

Hello I can't help you with your issue, but Windows 10 provides a very handy screenshot tool. In the search bar, type: snipping tool and you'll have access to it. It's very useful and can be customized.

We'll report you for sure ;=))) Joking aside, since you think it started after the last update, try a system restore to a point before that update. Type rstrui.exe which you open "as administrator" in the search and then follow the prompts. Just make sure that the update isn't the installation of the latest version of Windows 10! Good evening  Thank you for your responses, I'm really upset and ashamed to give you the follow-up but here I go...  The shortcut still works, it's just that since the update on Monday the image index has reset to 0 and since I was at number 1950, and I keep about a hundred in the folder, I didn't notice the reset, I was expecting number 1951.... Thank you for your feedback,  If you want to reset the screenshot counter on Windows (10). In the Windows registry, this key is:  HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer  In the right window, double-click Screenshot index and change the value to 1 in the data value field.  For example, I have 19 photos: I have the number 13 because Windows continues to name them starting from the last assigned number (I have deleted some).   To reset, you need to set 1 in the data value field (the box).   You can mark the subject as resolved. Have a good weekend. -- pistouri
