Hello,
A year ago, one evening, my phone charger fell into the water and everything happened very quickly. I dried it (but not enough) more than I thought (I was in a rush for the next day and my phone was at 0%). I decided to plug it in anyway for the whole night. I woke up the next day and it smelled burnt. I immediately unplugged my phone (because the smell was coming from it) and saw the damage from my mistake. The charging port of my phone was burnt, but thankfully it still worked. However, my charger was ruined. The problem is that the phone port melted (burnt) and no charger fits anymore. It worked until the battery went down to 0%. I've been looking for a solution for a year now. Should I try to repair it myself? Ask a professional? Soldering (for miniature work)?
I know it's a very silly mistake and I accept the consequences.
Thank you in advance for your response,
Best regards,
Lolamiz

Hello
the only solution I see would be to change the part -> the charging connector
this can be done in-store or at repair shops that take about 1 hour located in certain shopping malls in department stores
it can also be done by yourself but be careful: you need special tools and know-how, it's not as easy as it seems when you watch the tutorials
as for the price, it will depend on the mobile model you didn’t mention but I think it’s not the most expensive part
of course, you will also need to buy a new charger -
Hello,
Aside from going to a repair shop or checking if there are any tutorials online for your issue, there isn’t much you can do
