Laptop Gateway won't turn on

Hello,
My GATEWAY laptop won't turn on anymore.
I left it plugged in and the battery light on the laptop lights up blue instead of orange (to indicate that the battery is okay), so I left it plugged in. When I try to turn it on, the three blue lights turn on for 2-3 seconds and then go off, but the blue battery light stays on... nothing appears on the screen.
Please help me, I don't know anything about all this.
