Cubase no sound in headphones

Hello, in order to complete a project for my classes, I downloaded the software Cubase, version pro 10.5.
The problem is that I want to work with my headphones (to listen better, and I won’t have a choice when I take my computer to class). However, as soon as I plug in my headphones (or earphones), they are detected by the computer, they work if I go on YouTube or elsewhere, but they do not work with Cubase. Even if the headphones are plugged in, the sound still comes out normally from the computer. What should I do?
Thank you in advance for your responses.

    Hello,
Check if the application is currently updating and if the headset driver is also updated?

Hello, everything is fine with the updates.
However, I don't know what the headset driver is. I don't know any technical terms and I'm not at all savvy with computers. We're simply told to work on software without any explanation on how to do it. However, I need to solve this problem before my next class...

    Hello
You probably need an external sound card, but let's try this:
    In Cubase, press F4
    This opens the audio connections

And there select your headphones from the list of audio outputs

Keep us posted, have a good day
