Redmi Note 8 Pro is not receiving certain messages

Hello,
I’ve had a Redmi Note 8 Pro for a few days now. I set it up and immediately received messages from my partner. When I installed Messenger, I agreed to use it for SMS, so the conversation switched to Messenger. Then I changed my mind and set Messages as the SMS app again. Since then, I haven’t been receiving messages from my partner, but I do receive his calls. He also has a Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro, and when he sends me a message, it shows as sent but not delivered. I also don’t receive messages from a friend, but I receive messages from her partner, my parents... I thought that maybe I was only getting messages from people not on Messenger, but I have my friend’s partner on Messenger. So, I don’t understand what the problem is, and I find myself unable to resolve this very frustrating issue (as it’s impossible to know if other people are trying to contact me in vain). If someone can help me! Thanks, everyone :)

in my opinion there was a conflict with the 2 messaging apps which could cause this bug try uninstalling Messenger and reinstalling it

I've already tried, I even tried resetting the phone... :/ Yesterday, by some miracle, I received a message from my friend whose messages I hadn't been receiving. But still not from my partner...

Hello again
by deleting your partner's contact and adding it back, have you tried the same on their side? Maybe that could help!

Already tried too :/ We disabled the permission for Messenger to receive messages... I feel like my phone is really discriminating against my partner! As for my friend, we were in Belgium when things got sorted out... but for my partner, it still hasn't worked. His Xiaomi says "sent" instead of "delivered".

Try sending a DM to Ondine; she has a Note 8 Pro and she's very skilled in this area!
