Screw-on antenna connector?

Hello, I'm moving into a rental where the antenna sockets are "screw-in" (see photo). I asked Auchan and they told me that it's a satellite antenna and that in order to use it, I need to buy a decoder. I will ask my landlord, but maybe you have some information? Thank you.

And what's on the roof? A TV antenna? A satellite dish? Nothing at all?

    Hello delevie,

Screw-on antenna connectors can be used interchangeably for aerials (without decoder) or satellites (with decoder). It's up to you to see what type of antenna is installed at your place.

I personally installed my antenna and I recommend prioritizing screw-on connectors, which are more reliable and provide a better connection.

So two antennas pointing in different directions... curious
Go ahead and buy the recommended cable (F connector on one side and coaxial on the other) and do an automatic channel scan

Hello and welcome to this forum,

Yes, and I would like to add that these are F-type connectors that are assembled like this:

If it's a collective terrestrial antenna, you can also buy a ready-made cable:
