Hello,
For some time now, when I insert a CD into the CD/DVD drive of my laptop, a message appears: "How do you want to use this disk?"
1 As a USB flash drive?
2 As a CD/DVD drive?
I don’t know why this message appears. Is it my CD? Or does my drive have a defect?
How can I resolve this issue?
Thank you for your valuable help.

Apparently, it would be about automatic detection.
What software do you use to listen to your music?
Try opening that software first and specify your CD player when the CD is in the drive, to see if you can get anything working.
Normally, you should disable auto-play or change the settings for what Windows should do depending on the content of the inserted discs.

I don't have any specific software to read my CDs. I insert it into the CD drive and from the computer, I try to open the CD.
In fact, I can read the CD on other computers, particularly on desktop computers. It's only on my laptop that I can't do it.
So it's a data CD?
When we say CD, it's often for audio.
Maybe Windows' burning software doesn't see your CD as finalized.
Did you burn this data from this PC?
