Hello,
New to fiber, is there any issue (in terms of monitoring and managing the line with Free) if I cut off the power to the box when I'm not at home?
Previously, with ADSL from Orange, they tended to see this as a problem and triggered their annoying DLM, reducing the connection speed.
Thank you
P.S.: I'm not bothered if the phone service is cut off.
Configuration: Windows / Firefox 78.0

Hello,
I'm with Free and if I'm away for a few days or more, I unplug my box and it doesn't cause any problems.
Since you're new to Free, know that you can manage your box through FreeboxOS.
And via the mobile app Freebox.

Hi,
now, even with Orange, if it's a fiber connection, I don't think there's any DLM; I don't really see what it could be useful for.
Afterwards,
if you just turn off the box and leave the ONT with the fiber SFP on, they won't see anything on their OLT (the central multiplexer).
I don't think they constantly ping the box, like with OVH where I am; the slightest box cut and I receive an email saying it's invisible, whereas in ADSL it's behind an SFR collection.
At the same time, it's handy to know if there's a power cut at home when you're away; it's always useful for the freezer, some cheap home automation :-)
Personally, I never unplug it, just for your information; the risk of lightning is zero on a fiber connection since it's non-conductive.
There's always the risk from the electrical supply, of course, but in that case, it won't just be the box that will suffer.

Hi and thank you for your responses
Actually, I have an ONU box.
It's a bit convoluted to cut off the box and not the unit. You would need to physically disconnect the kind of plug located behind the box.
When I was talking about DLM, I was referring to ADSL
My question mainly concerned the implications, in terms of management by Free, of regular disconnections of the connection.
Would they see it as a technical problem and intervene on my line?
According to Pierr10's response, cutting everything off electrically would have no impact in this regard.- Well,
you just need to remove the nesting from the box side and leave it connected on the freeplug side, right?
On the other hand, we have to think about the freewifi users, of which you might be a part during your vacation, who are happy to have this network, although with 4G becoming more widespread, it's becoming less and less useful.
