Hello, having internet bandwidth issues with my box, I decided to rewire a flat dish Neovia VH300 and I bought a decoder at Brico Dépôt, a TELEFUNKEN TDSC 400 B.
Having serious doubts about my coaxial cable running through the ceilings, I bought another coaxial cable still at Brico Dépôt to directly connect my dish to my decoder, and it doesn't work! I get a 98% signal but no quality, so no channels at all.
Does anyone have an idea??
I oriented my dish towards Astra 19.2 with an app, but nothing works.

Hello
With a digital decoder like the Telefunken TDSC 400 B, to access programs that are mostly encrypted, you need to have either a TNTSat (Astra) card or a FranSat (EutelSat) card to access French channels via satellite (TNT or more if subscribed).
But without the card, you should at least be able to pick up signals from unencrypted channels (Arabic, Spanish, German, etc...) and maybe TV5 Monde and Canal24 in French...
If you're getting no signal at all, it's because you're not properly tuned to 19.2 Astra but rather to a very close one.
You need to adjust, in your decoder, to the signal setting, Astra 19.2 East and ensure you have both signal and quality (around 90%).
A+

- Hello
I confirm that if the signal is at 98% but there's nothing in quality, it means the antenna is not pointed at the right satellite but at a nearby one: for example, at 20.0°E Arabsat, 19.1°E Eutelsat, 17.0°E Amos...
You need to be very precise; an app is not always accurate... Align it with someone in front of the screen...
See you later!

Hello and welcome to this forum,
For the orientation of your antenna, make use of this site:
https://www.dishpointer.com/
-Enter your complete address on the left
-Choose 19.2° East (Astra) from the list on the right
-Click on "Search!" next to your address,
-Zoom in on the map using the + button and the scroll wheel to locate your house accurately
-Place the target at the location of your satellite dish by "clicking and dragging" and use a landmark (tree, house) for orientation, first in direction and then in elevation.
At the bottom right of the map, you will find the elevation, azimuth and the rotation direction in degrees of the head in its bracket (cross-polarization adjustment); the last line "LNB Skew" is very important. In the case of a flat antenna, it should be tilted slightly
Also use the graph bars on the decoder by communicating with someone in front of the screen over the phone to fine-tune the adjustment, which should ideally be done with a satellite pointer.
