My printer appears twice after reinstalling the original driver.

Hello,

I have been using an Epson DX5050 for years, but since I switched to Windows 8.1, I no longer had the printer troubleshooting program (nozzle check, printhead alignment) and I could no longer see the remaining ink level; I only had basic options in the Windows control panel.

I reinstalled the driver from the original CD and ended up with 2 printers in the control panel: Epson DX5000 and Epson DX5000 series, and 2 drivers: Epson ESC/P-R V4 class driver (which I had before installing the driver from the original CD) and Epson Stylus DX5000 series.
I deleted the first printer and on the second one, I selected the Epson Stylus DX5000 series driver, which displays the ink levels.

My issue is when I want to display the current print jobs from the control panel, it asks me which printer, the Epson DX5000 or Epson DX5000 series; in Word, I still see both printers appearing.

How can I permanently remove the Epson DX5000? Should I have uninstalled my printer before reinstalling it with the driver from the original CD?
Do I still need the Epson ESC/P-R V4 class driver, which was originally installed with Windows but only gave me basic options?

Thank you in advance

Configuration: Windows / Firefox 77.0
