Hello,

I added a timeline to my pivot table. Strangely, when I save and close my spreadsheet and then reopen it, my timeline disappears. However, I have other worksheets in my spreadsheet that use different timelines and I don't have any issues.

Do you have any idea why I am losing the timeline?

Thank you in advance for your time.

Best regards,

Stephan

Hello everyone,

Which version of Excel was your file created with?

Hello Stephan.

I can't get used to Quebec vocabulary...
  • A "chiffrier" is indeed a binder, right?
  • A "feuille électronique" is just a sheet of binder paper, right?
  • But what is a "barre chronologique"?

Hello Raymond :-)

Yes, it is indeed a workbook and yes, it's just a worksheet. The timeline is an option available under "Pivot Table Analysis" with the O365 version of Excel. This option is called "Insert Timeline."

Oh yes!
I don't have Excel 365; but I do have the "Timeline" tool (which I had never had the chance to use) ...
And when I save my file and open it again, the bar is still there.
So I don't see a plausible explanation for what you're observing.

Thank you, Raymond, for your time :-)

I simply redid my pivot table. Everything seems to be back to normal now! Strange... It's probably the fault of COVID-19 ;-)

... so that's great: I was annoyed that I couldn't help you out!
