Hello, I compressed a family video to bring it to a sendable format and I had to place it in C:\Users\dell\Pictures\ etc.
Could you indicate the path chain that will lead me to retrieve this video?
Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.

    Hello,

To send a large video, it’s best to use an online storage site like DLFree or 1Fichier, for example—see HERE or a cloud service like Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, or something equivalent. It’s therefore unnecessary to compress a video because you don’t gain much space; the video is not very compressible.

Now, to locate your video assuming you don’t know the file name, it’s actually quite simple. Since you know the location of your compressed file, you can also know the name of your video. If you used Windows’ compression feature, then your file has the same name as your video with the .zip extension. If you used another compression application (WinRAR, 7Zip, or other), extract your archive to retrieve your video. From there you’ll know what your video is named.

All that remains is to perform a search using Windows 10’s dedicated search function (at the top right of a folder); go to This PC and enter the video file name as the keyword.

    Best regards
