Hello,
So here it is, for configuring the PSP:
1. Go to the icon: Settings
2. Choose the icon: Network Settings
3. Infrastructure Mode
4. New Connection
5. The name of this connection
6a. SSID: the name of the network (yours) and choose WEP Encryption if it exists
6b. OR perform a "SCAN"
-> So we've defined the name (SSID+WEP) or chosen it (SCAN)
7. Enter the WEP key or NOTHING if you don't have one
8. Address configuration -> Custom -> Manual
9. PSP TCP/IP configuration
IP address: 192.168.1.101
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
Default router: 192.168.1.1 (this is my router's address)
Primary DNS: 212.27.32.5*
Secondary DNS: 212.27.39.2*
*if you don't have specific DNS addresses but have your router's address, use your router's address as it also serves as a DNS server.
10. Proxy server -> Do not use
11. Save and it's done. Test it, and everything should work; you can go on the internet if you have firmware 2.0 or play games with an "infrastructure" mode.
I will try to list recurring errors:
"I have an error like 8XXXXXX... etc..."
You need to add the PSP's MAC address in the Wi-Fi modem/router; otherwise, you will never be able to connect to your router's Wi-Fi. Note this is not mandatory; with a Freebox, it is not necessary, for example.
Thank you, I think I've helped you, and if you have other problems, contact me. See you soon!

My PSP connects well to the internet with your system, and I thank you for that, but the update remains impossible because it tells me [failed to connect to the server. A DNS error has occurred].
So to keep it simple, you go into the settings of your PSP and reset it. It didn't work for me, but for some people it does. If it doesn't work, you go on your computer, click on your modem, look for game and application sharing, click on it and check the right box. Don't worry, it's not complicated, just apply it.
Then go to your PSP and reset it like at the beginning, reinstall your PSP connection, WEP key and the rest.
Test the connection and normally it should work; in any case, it worked for me.
I hope I helped you. See you later!

Hi guys,
So... I don't know if I'm going to reassure you, but I encountered the same problem and spent a good week solving it!!... I looked everywhere, here and elsewhere.. I heard everything and anything! The positive point is that I learned how to configure my live box!
I don't have the technical skills to explain in detail what I did.. But the solution lies in the fact that you need to (quite simply!) unlock the security of your router (meaning I'm no longer using a key) you have to go into the live box settings to do that... to get there, look on a forum, you'll find it, it's not difficult. I solved my problem by doing that... I want to point out that I live in the countryside, so I don't really care that people can connect to my network since there aren't many people around... now in the city, it's up to you!
Hope this helps you a little!

It's simple. Go here: https://www.commentcamarche.net/maison/box-connexion-internet/1805-serveur-dns-orange-free-sfr-bouygues-les-bonnes-adresses/
search for your internet service provider. Then configure the internet on your console and enter the DNS manually that are provided on the link. There you go.

The problem is that I have a D-Link router and my ISP is Orange.
Thank you for replying to me please.

Well, I see that this problem persists.
The DNS error occurs when the domain name system (DNS) of the requested site is incorrect or incomplete.
First of all, I would like to know what you are typing in the address bar of your PSP: Google, Yahoo... etc.
That's almost always where the problem comes from.
This very implicit bar is not the Google bar but the URL bar.
You must therefore start with http:// and end with .fr, .net, etc...
Start with the simplest, type https://www.google.fr/?gws_rd=ssl
That should resolve 98% of the problems.
If that doesn't resolve yours, let me know and I'll know ;)
There you go, bye!
