Problem with my PSP

Hello,

My 7-year-old son has a PSP that hasn't caused any problems for 2 years except for sometimes having to unplug the battery because the game crashed!! But now he can't quit games anymore: when you press the home button, it displays "quit game" but it's impossible to select "yes." We have to turn off the PSP and remove the game. The problem remains the same after removing the battery and with all of his games.
Has anyone else encountered this issue? Or does anyone have a solution to give me because of course his PSP is over a year old, so it's out of warranty. Thank you.
Configuration: Windows Vista Internet Explorer 7.0

I went to the forum but it’s all gibberish to me. My son has only been playing with his PSP, it's a version 2.82, and on the site they talk about devhook, firmware!!!! I don’t understand anything, so can someone simply tell me how I can fix this problem with the home button or if a reset is possible without downloading anything, or even explain to me what devhook and firmware are. Thank you for the information, I’m amazed at what you can do with your PSP!!! Thanks in advance for your help.

I can no longer help you, just let you know that you have version 2.82 and you should upgrade it to version 3.43 etc...
Ask your friends who own a PSP to help you unlock and flash it, you won’t have any issues afterwards and you’ll even be able to play games from your memory card and watch movies etc...
Good evening

Still, ask the question on the forum in GENERAL and I think you'll get help

It's hard to explain certain things when there is no knowledge. If someone had explained everything I know when I didn't know anything, I wouldn't have understood. I'm not sure that flashing (downgrading or hacking the PSP might help you understand better) will make the console work, but there's always a possibility to try. If you were in my area, I could have done it for you, but there's always this system of distrust. However, I'm willing to do it for you. ;)

I live in the Nord-Pas-de-Calais region. Thank you for your help, which I would gladly accept if you are in the north of France.

Hello,
I didn't have much knowledge when I bought my PSP back in June 2007. I came to this forum on the advice of some friends and then I managed on my own like a big kid by asking questions to evolve my PSP, even getting plugins to enhance my PSP. It's up to you whether you want to do something; if you don't want to ask questions, throw your PSP away and stay clueless like you've been since I brought you a viable solution.

For those who understand

By the way, there isn't just piracy on the forum; there are solutions to all problems.

Ciao

Plug your PSP into a PC with a USB cable and update it at www.yourpsp.com.

Go to the site by connecting via USB, no need to connect via WLAN.

""A connection error has occurred. The Wlan switch is not enabled"
You need to push the button on the left side of the PSP up.

Sorry for the response time, but I'm not here during the week."

Hello,
I did what you told me but now I have: an internal error occurred (8041OAOB) and I don't have a USB port, the ones I have don't fit the PSP so I have to go through Wi-Fi. Thank you for helping me even if it's in a few days. See you soon.

Have you installed the latest update?
If not, go to the official PSP website and download the latest update, then connect your PSP via USB and install the downloaded file on your PSP; there should be a tutorial on the official website.

And does a small green light turn on at the bottom left of the PSP when you try to connect to the internet?

I won't be here for a week, so you'll have to wait for your next questions.
See you!

Salut ! Do you crack/downgrade PSP please?

But it's because of the R button, as there's a loose connection, so it's better to buy another one, sorry for you, unless someone has a suggestion.

Hello, since you're on version 2.82 I think you should better "upgrade", that is to say change to a more suitable version, having fewer bugs and which is more secure, in short, all the usual Sony jargon.

So to "upgrade" you need:

A Wifi connection, that is to say a wireless internet connection (I don't think you absolutely need a Wifi connection, but it's always better)
If you have Wifi, you need to "create" an internet connection.
For that, go to: Settings=>Network settings=>Infrastructure mode=>New connection=>Scan=>And there it will search if you have a Wifi connection=>Press X=>None (if you don't have a password on your modem otherwise you choose another=>And then keep pressing the right arrow and in the end, it will ask you to save, you do it of course!

Now that the connection is created, go to: Settings=>Network update=>there you choose the connection you just created=>it will connect to the internet and search for an update=> then you accept the conditions and all the jargon and you will see the download start.
Once done you can go check the version of your PSP in: Settings=>System settings=>System information/

And there you go, normally you shouldn't have any bugs anymore, I hope I helped you!
Bye!
