Hello,
I need to enable virtualization on my Acer laptop to properly run an Android emulator. I can access the BIOS using the F2 key (the F12 key is also active on the PC), but I can't find the option to enable this advanced technology in the BIOS.
After checking, the processor does support this usage:

Thank you for your responses.

Hi, on a laptop, the BIOS options are closer to zero; it's all or nothing in automatic mode. So unless you check the manufacturer's support site for a more recent BIOS update, which generally doesn't guarantee any additional functions, but in doubt, it's worth doing part of the journey. The other case is more problematic; this kind of function is only activated on a pro version of Windows. Do you have the right version?

Hello,
you really need a desktop PC to have access to lots of settings in the BIOS. And a more or less recent PC so that there are options regarding virtualization (Intel VT-x or AMD-V + optionally: Intel VT-d or IOMMU on AMD).

Hello,
you need to change your computer to have a BIOS with more features.
However, virtualization and emulation are two different things. -
Hi,
Thank you for your reply...
This PC is equipped with Windows 7 Home Edition.
So, what you're saying is that a "special" BIOS is needed to access this kind of setting?!! -
Hello,
Thank you for your responses.
Yes, I know that virtu and ému are different, it was my emulator that was requesting to enable that to function properly, so we will do without it.
Wishing you all the best.
