Hello,

How do you type an i with an umlaut on a Canadian French keyboard?

Is your keyboard this model?
If so, the Umlaut (¨) is obtained, in uppercase, by pressing the key to the left of the "Enter" key and then pressing the concerned vowel.

The diaeresis key is there

So you press shift + diaeresis and then the letter you want to have a diaeresis on.

Hi,
To get a response as quickly as possible, the simplest way is to do a search yourself.

Office software often has a built-in virtual keyboard like Writer from the LibreOffice suite:

You can also install your own virtual keyboard; copy and paste the character from a web page, and even better, use the ASCII code (or the key combination corresponding to the ASCII code).
