Ping spike every evening

Good evening everyone,

I have been experiencing latency issues for several months now; every evening I have an unstable ping ranging from 250 to 500 ms.

Normally during the day I have a "constant" ping of about 50 ms.

Moreover, my download speed has dropped to 7 Mbps instead of 17 Mbps. 17 Mbps is the normal speed when everything is working well. But as I mentioned earlier, every evening my ping is unstable and my download speed is at 1.3 Mbps.

I have the SFR box NB6 on ADSL2+. I've tried everything but nothing works; calling SFR: when talking to them about latency they don't understand... Anyway

If anyone has a solution, I would appreciate it.

Have a good evening

Best regards

Hi,
how are you connected to this box?
direct ethernet, powerline adapters, wifi?
do you measure the ping on what, on speedtest?

I am connected to this box via powerline, I have already tried moving my powerline adapters around but nothing works.
I measure the ping on speedtest and discord and on games. However, I do experience a spike every evening and since today during the day as well. On discord, it shows 70ms, on speedtest 30ms, and on a game 700ms (and of course, I can't play this game because the lag is too much). I don't know where the problem is coming from, but what I know for sure is that I can't play my games...

It may be due to the load on the game servers....

My friends don't have that problem, though....

Hi,

Or peering, between him and the servers... knowing that not all users of the same operator necessarily take the same route either...

Let's add to that that it can also come from the load of a DSLAM... If it's old, with just ADSL lines and a poor connection at the entrance to feed everyone, it struggles, especially right now... :-)
