Fan issue (error 90B)

Good evening,

For the past few days, I've been having a hardware issue with my desktop PC. The CPU fan is not operating optimally.
When I turn on the PC, I get an error message displayed:
"The system has detected that a cooling fan is not operating correctly.
Continued operation is not recommended and may cause unpredictable behavior that could result in random shutdown, data loss or possible system damage. The system will shut down in 15 seconds.
To prevent shutdown and continue operation, press the Enter key now.
System Fan (90b)".

I can still use my PC for now, there's no overheating issue. However, the fan runs at full speed and then stops continuously. It's starting to get really annoying. (At times it runs for about 1 to 2 minutes but eventually stops again)...

I've seen similar problems on various forums but without concrete solutions. I would like to know if changing the fan could help (as it doesn't seem damaged).

P.S: Here are all the operations already performed:
- complete cleaning of dust inside the PC and the fan.
- reconnecting the fan.
- BIOS update

If you have a miracle solution, or just a solution that works, that would be great.

Windows 10 Home 64-bit
HP Pavilion Desktop PC 570-p0XX
BIOS: F.44 (type: UEFI)
Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-7400 CPU @ 3.00GHz (4 CPUs), ~3.0GHz
8192MB RAM

THANK YOU in advance and have a good evening.

Hello,

I’m not an expert, but it’s definitely the fan (or even the cooler) that might need to be replaced. Let's hope it’s not the motherboard pins.
If possible, try testing another cooler. Otherwise, my advice would be to buy a new one :/ Make sure to plug your CPU fan into the pin labeled "CPU_FAN".

Best regards,
B.
