Verify or redo this procedure

I had the same problem with Firefox version 74.
Disabling and re-enabling IDM was enough.

Google Chrome 81 has been released.
Chrome 81 will display a console message warning on all mixed content downloads.
Starting from Chrome 83, all types of downloadable content will be gradually blocked.
After October 2020, Chrome will block all mixed content downloads.

If you have an ad blocker, disable it on YouTube.

As for copyright, that's another subject, IDM generally takes them, or you have some sites to do it.

Do a test with another browser if you have one on hand on YouTube.

Also, make sure that the "advanced integration" checkbox is checked in IDM's options.

Don't use the right-click, you'll save a web page in .html format instead of your MP3

Please copy/paste the YouTube link you want to download in your next message.

If you have the IDM icon next to the address bar in Google Chrome:

Right-click on IDM
The line → Allow this site to read and change site data
Check → All sites


On YouTube or another site, make sure that the scroll bar, which allows you to move up or down the page, is at the top, because if you scroll down a bit, you won’t see or find the IDM panel anymore.

Speaking of the panel, you can display it in Full mode
The mini mode lives up to its name for visibility. (To avoid)


In this same option, you have a Exceptions box
Open it and check that YouTube is not included.
Delete the line if necessary.

• On some YouTube videos you need to be logged into a Google account (like Gmail) otherwise the IDM panel will not appear.
